Rule of thumb…..CANINE nails should be trimmed when they touch the ground. You don’t even have to LOOK you can hear those little dog toes clicking as they scamper across the floor at meal time. Time for a Doggie-Pedi.
Some of our furry friends are like little couch potatoes – which could mean “weekly pedicures” are needed. While city dogs who stalk the rough city sidewalks and hit the pavement….might just be taking things into their own paws – and never need a pedi. (unless…..they have dewclaws).
Know one knows your Pet better than you – so only you can make the decision whether it’s YOU that will care & maintain your pets nails OR…If your Veterinarian or Professional Groomer should handle the task. Point is – your pet’s nails are as important to his/her care, as your own nails.
